Fingerprinting Fees Explained
I get many calls each and everyday asking me how much I charge to perform a live scan fingerprinting service. This question is hard to answer because many factors play into how much it costs such as government fees, rolling fee and travel. Sometimes a person calls me and I give a price based on the information that is provided and when all is said and done they end up paying less than what I quoted. The reason for this post is to let you know that if you are shopping for the lowest price then the only thing that you need to know is how much the rolling fee and/or travel fee. These fees are collected by the business and are the only fees the live scan operator keeps. All of the government fees that are collected get paid to the DOJ each month by the live scan operator.
